8% signal?

turned on my box this morning ex5000 and had all scrammbled channels it was dec 2008 firmware so i updated it to feb 2009 firmware, not finding any channels and the signal strengh is at 8% all the time when scanning can anybody please help?

yes but its a ex5000 not a max v?will it matter i dont want to brick it

tryed but it says the software is not fit for the reciever

nothing at all mate its doin my head right in

do you subscribe to virgin at all m8?if not they might ov disconected you from the green box.

hi,,

on the later firmware you have a booster built in,,try turning this on,,

you need to put the box into standbye then back on again for the change to take affect,,

if still having problems,, reflash back to the earlier au firmware,,

remember to factory reset after flashing and before scanning,,

loaded latest firmware got all channels back apart from ppv,do you all still think i will get box office boxin etc i did before?

yes you should,, check in the tvch channels on the day of the event,,

if not there,,do a rescan

Evening guys , the 8% signal fix is for the Max V only, you will just get the message firmware not fit for your receiver.
