Just been told by a good source from virgin media that all the eurovox boxes starview etc will go off over the next couple of weeks to the run up to Christmas and some boxes in Leeds the eurovox v have already started to stop receiving the pay channels with the ***8216;***8217;Insert card***8217;***8217; message coming up on screen. My friend seems to think it could happen this Friday?

it will be by easter when all u.k boxes go
Other areas must be done in stages as VM just dont have the manpower to cover it, they have drafted engineers from other parts of the country to the leeds area as the introduction of n3 has caused a very high volume of service calls not to mention the additional installation work that you would expect to mount up when people realise they will have to pay for a package to get TV over xmas.
If I had acted on every rumour I have heard from "VM engineers" over the years , then I wouldn't have bothered using and selling a large quantity of boxes over the last 5 or so years and myself and a considerable amount of people would not have have enjoyed the service we have. Every couple of months in that period I have heard rumours that a VM Engineer has informed someone of a specific date when they all will go tits up. Although I am not disputing the end is inevitable, just don't listen to rumours about specific dates and enjoy while you can.
I am sure there will be something that will get around it
caus we all know what bright stars vm "engineers" are. dont we (i use the term engineer loosely)
