hi all cant connect

hi there im all new to this but in a nightmare
had a blue euro box now for ages just in its box
till the other day i was told of it potential
so i went to maplin and got the null lead
i have dnupman and ufl max blue but it wont connect to the box
or it might not even know if it is even there.
so what is the first baby steps to get this thing working???

Connect the serial port of your pc and your box with the null modem. Load the correct UFL software (Blue) onto your pc and than try to connect to your box. It should say Eurovox found on com port x and than you just say download firmware. Will take about thiirty second once it is flashed you will need to do a full power scan with your box.

thats the problem though it wont find it and have tried so many times is there any way of seeing if it is connected from a windows point of view

Try switching your eurovox off and than switch it on when UFL program is looking for the eurovox. You need to check that there is no problem with your com port on your pc and that you have the correct cable i.e a null modem cable. Try another pc if you have any doubts about your pc.
