Anyway....i noticed that our Ex5000 has a loop out connection for connecting to another box. We are considering buying another box for our daughter as a xmas present and i was wondering if its a good idea to connect the second console to the cable feed via this available connection, or shoul i run a new coax back to the upstairs splitter ????? |

We do not want to connect 2 tv's to the same box, but to simply share the RG60 feed from the splitter upstairs (which is connected to my modem) by using the RF out on the back of the Ex5000. The manual states the following....LOOP OUT Gives you possibility to connect to another extra receiver (analogue or digital). So as far as i can make out, this does the job of a splitter ??? |

| V.I.P. Member | if you are running all your boxes from upstairs you want to split your cable feed into three not run it too the box and back again i do not know anyone who runs there set up this way just remember though the more the signal is divided between receivers and the longer the cable runs your signal may reduce you may need to get a signal booster |

It will make the installation so much easier if i can run a short 3mtr length of cable to next door...cheers ! |
