m8 thats the old firmware, this is the latest for the EX7000HD box >Digital Kaos - Downloads - EX7000 Sept21st Beta Firmware

hi guys i am ready to send for my ex7000 with hdd gona cost me a few quid so i am not wanting to pay any1 to flash it for me goint to try it myself ,,,i have done a bit of reading on here and now have half an idea,, i need a null modem cable and a memory stick , can some 1 explain what this memory stick is plz and give me a bit of a guide what to do i no i need to download firmware from here and conect my box to my pc and no to sure from here . if any 1 could pm me or write bk here any help would be gr8l appreciated

Hi m8, its best to update this box using a USB pen.
1. Download the required firmware
2. Unzip and copy it to your usb pen or equivalent, ensure filename is (flash.tbn).
3. Insert it into the usb slot and switch power off then back on at the rear switch.
3. box will reboot, open the flash file extract it to its memory and install it automatically.
4. Once flashed select your desired settings and scan.
Use this if you must use a null modem cable
