Should I pay...Or just put in the keys?????

Hey all... I have a eurovox max v, but pretty much everyday like many of you I'm having to put in the new keys,

Today I called the guy who i got the box from and he said he would charge me £15 pounds so I won't need to put the keys in any more as he has the software to update the box so it won't go down anymore,

Does anyone know how I could do that myslef instead of putting my hard earned money into his pocket????

And if anyone does know how I can do that would I need any cables to connect my PC to the box because as I do not have any...

Let me know guys on what you think I should do....

Dont pay it, firmware link can be found on this forum look in the red sections at top of forum. You will need a null modem cable look on that well known auction site only about a fiver if you are using a laptop you will need USB to serial cable again £5

Vij have a read at the red stickys at the top of the page everything you need can be found apart from the null modem cable - buy that £2 from a famous auction site.
