Hi im having a problem tuning my tm600 to 28.2e as i want to tune the bskyb channels,i can get 19e 13e and afew others fine but nothing on 28.2e i can send motor to it and do automatic chanel scan and it does lock on to a transponder eventualy but theres not many chanels there and no sky ones.do i need to edit tranponders or something im new to this so im not sure.Thanks

in your motorised settings do usuals not diseq 1.2

then add your lonitude and latitude

and you should have no probs

thanks,thats the way ive done it,it finds the others ok but not this one its strange it should find it easy,i get nilesat 7w without a problem but cant get this one

7W, where are you mate ? If your in the UK i doubt your really picking that sat up unless you got a big **** off dish . Make sure your pole is plumb

def got nilesat im in swansea got 97cm dish just noticed something tho,when im on 13e and send motor to '0'degrees im still getting the channel on 13e?

Doubt very much you do m8, you need about a 4m dish to get Nilesat. You need to make sure your pole is 100% plumb and tune it in from the begininmg.

It says nilesat on my sat list and i can watch the chans on it,yes the pole is def plum i made sure that was right before i put the dish up.do you think i should loosen the dish again when at 0 then send box to 13e then move dish until im getting 13 again?

It sounds like you need a complete re-align.You dont say what channels you think you are getting on 7W but I"d guess they are not from that sat.try this guide I"ve sent and let us know how you get on.you should get all the FTA channels on 28.2E no prob.Note this is just a quick rough guide and you will still need to do some fine tuning.

have just checked it and it downloads &opens no problem.anyway heres whats on it.
menu>setup>quickfactory reset,wait for reboot.
>english>gmt>complex.many sats via diseqc rotor in top box then green button to save.Tick in usals boxenter your long/lat then save.Top line"automatic satellite search" Thor2/3 intelsat(1W) in dropdown>ok,motor should move to what it thinks is the right position,tick no circ polariz then exit all menus.then menu again>setup>satellite installation & tp edit>sat find.putthor 1W in as sat & 11.862 28000 H(bbc world) in TP.now move dish manually.The whole dish/motor assembly L/R and just the dish elevation up/down,once locked &snr &agc around the 80s & ber 0tighten all bolts up.exit to satellite installation &TP edit>automatic sat search & choose 1W & scan. choose no to do you want to scan another sat so you can check what you have on 1W if ok go back to automatic sat search and scan the sats you want.
NB mounting pole must be 100% plumb & dish must be 100% central on the motor spigot before starting.

it looks like you have the "all sats" list there mate.
and if the same transponder is on more than one sat you will pick it up even if your not on the sat you think you are.
if you give the tp for the channels we will try and sort what sat they are on.

Thanks mate i see what you mean about picking up other tp's Ill have to wait to borrow ladders to move dish,the pole is 100% plum the motor is central also, ive tripple checked these as ive been having probs setting it all up.when i was setting it up i couldnt find thor at all the nearest i could find was 13e so i was setting it from there,i think thats where my prob is. i can send it to 19e and pick loads but nothing from 28.2e.ill start again with youre guide and see what happens

yeah Ive checked those channels you gave they are on 13East not 7West.there is nothing wrong with setting up on 13E.but as your in swansea 5W would be just about your due south sat so why not give that a try,use 11.591 V 20000 france 2,3,5 and a couple of other FTA channels are good and strong.send the dish to 5West via usals (making sure the dish does move)the pointer on the motor should be just off the "0" then slacken the motor just enough to move and starting off with the dish pointing roughly due south and the dish elevation around the 25 mark move the whole assembly L/R and the dish only up/down to tune it in.
