    Default 5402 usb recording files

I have videiod a programme to my a usb card on my 5402. This was no problem but when I take the usb stick out and put in my technisat freeview box in the other room it won't play back. I presume there is a problem being able to read the files. Does anyone know of a usb card reader I could buy that would allow me to play back recordings from a technomate 5402? There are quite a few for sale on Amazon for about £25 but I don't want to buy one and it not to play back the technomate recordings.

Only your tm will play back recordings made on it, there are two other options, one is to convert the recordings to avi/mkv for playback on another device the other is to use imgburn to record them onto dvd

How disappointing - are there no usb media players that will play it back? To be honest I wanted to do this a lot and I don't want to have to keep converting files every day it takes so long - and often reduces quality.

I have just bought a usb media player from e bay - about £23 - and it plays the usb recordings from my technomate fine via a hdmi lead. I have only tried sd recordings at the moment.

On e bay it was called "Portable Full 1080P HD MEDIA PLAYER Outputs HDMI AV SD MMC Card USB Reader"
    From a firm called happy-dealers.
I also enquired from a firm called justopeshop on e bay who also do a usb media player - they confirmed theirs would playback files recorded on a technomate but I had already bought mine by then.
My player is very small and even comes with a hdmi lead.

Here is the link for anybody who would like it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portable-F...item3a728723b1 but if you don't fancy this one any media player that can play "ts" format as this one can should work
