Default not enough memory

This is one that is puzzling me here.

While scanning for live signals, I've been getting the normal "not enough tp memory". I realize enough from the other posts, to go back through and delete "dead" tps.

What I'm lost with is, why the receiver does not come with sufficient memory on board to deal with all the tps for the pre-programmed satellites?

Also, does anyone know if its possible to plug in more/ swap memory in a tm6900 to prevent this?

Thanks

John
