Default PLTV on 10 East on TM5402HD

    Hi,

I have a TM5402HD that i need to get PLTV on 10 east.

The box has patch 1.11p on it.

I tried loading the keys manually using the 8280 method, but nothing has cleared.
I put all lines to 00 00 00 00 etc etc & then used line 1 to enter the keys, but it did not open the channel.

I suspect i need to load a more recent patch for the box.
    1.11 is from July 2011.

If i load a recent patch, do you think the channel will open if i enter the latest keys again ?

    Thanks

As you know you have a outdated SD receiver so the answer is no.

Hi thanks for reply but it was for a client who has a TM5400 M2 . Is there no difference between M2 and normal 5400's??

Hi. To be honest apart from M2 on the front i could not tell the difference between 5400 SUPER and M2. I see if i can get a 5402 from boot sale this week. I need HD for Italian channels on the Bird at 12.5 West. They have all disappeared recently from my receiver and been told they are in HD only.

    Regards

Do you think someone will be ditching a 5402 at a boot sale? Already?

I have loaded the latest patch to a usb & going to take it to the box today, hopefully it will work.

I had it working last year on another TM5402HD but i don't have that box now.

    cheers anyway.

Hi. Probably nothing to do with patch but the way you are entering the keys. To insert keys do the following:

    1) Put on correct channel ie PLTV.
    2) Make sure it says SCRAMBLED CHANNEL message.
    3) Enter 8280 on remote to go into BISS/CCW keys menu. Or enter MENU - SYSTEM INFORMATION - BISS from remote.
    4) In BISS/CCW menu attach keys to channel by entering the key values on a spare line. If value of key is 16 characters then fill columns 17-32 with zero's.
    5) Exit and save changes.
    6) Allow time for channel to clear.
    7) YIPPEE YIPPEE enjoy the channel.

    Have a nice day.

How long do you suggest to allow time to clear.

    I waited 30sec and nothing.

I have done both, entered on spare line, nothing, then saw a post to delete all other lines & enter zeros, then use top line to enter keys. Still nothing.

Is 30sec too short a time to wait ?

I hve entered latest patch aswell now, but still not clearing,

    This is very weired this.

    cheers

Hi. Its not weird at all, there is a problem somewhere. I dont have a HD receiver so cannot check if keys are still active. Double check you have correct channel ie check frequency and signal strength. Check you have entered keys in correctly. To do this go onto channel and press 8280 on remote. It should take you into BISS menu and display the keys you entered on the line you chose. I will PM you with keys so you can check if you have same ones.

The latest keys are included in the Technomate Softcam.key file, I would suggest you open up this file with Notepad++ otherwise it will be barely readable. The PLTV key is still active as i tested this yesterday.
