The box super USB problem

Hi
Can any one help. have just bought a box super usb,have downloaded firm ware to memory stick carried out instruction as per idiots guide, but when i turn on the box with the remote and press menu button nothing happens.i only have the time displayed and i am unable to navigate to the usb menuthe remote is working ok as it turns the box off and on ok . help needed as new to all this. thanks in advance.

I know this might sound like a daft question but do you have the box switched on before accessing the menu. If the time is showing on the front the box is switched off. I presume you have already downloaded the frimware in which case you would have had to access the menu to do this.
Are you saying you have accessed the menu to download the firmware and now you can't

Let me back track a little i have downloaded the firm ware to memory stick.put stick into box ,flicked power switch on turned box on with remote then just get time come up starting at 12.oo when i press menu on the box remote nothing happens

no it seems to be the time starting at 12.00 when left on the time advances

Try pressing the on button on the remote first, if the time is on you could be in standbye

What is showing on the Tv. did the box super logo appear when you switched the box on.
Is your scart lead connected correctly and have you switched to the correct av channel

know what you are saying about standby but when i press the power button on the remote it goes from time to 4 dashes or sraight lines if you like. and i am still unable to get to usb menu or any other menu with the remote control !

i have scart lead from box to tv no logo seen ,but can get a couple of cable channels

Is your scart lead in the bottom socket of the box.
Turn box off and then back on and let me know if you see the box super screen at start up.

think i have a problem with the scart lead,just had a fiddle with it and have got the box menu come up. will carry on with set up and let you know how i get on

problem was with dodgy scart lead, got channels and reception fine happy viewing to all
