Possble fix for flashing Starview 2 !!!!

After i flashed with the new firmware all igot was a black screen,then i flashed it with a earlier version (v4.54) that came with the box logo file.
Then i flashed it again using the box logo bin file.

Retried, all was fine again , but of course no auto updating.
so then i reflashed with the new version, still ok.

So then i turned on the emulator on, then switched to a scrambled channel,then and then it auto updated itself, and everything if fine.all working a ok.

If your box has gone blank after flashing the latest bin files then this is what you need to do.

1. Get GTrom v4.03 loader
2. Get the"thebox_logobg" bin file
3. Open the loader select background data file
4. click on BIN, select the "thebox_logobg" file.
5. Click download
6. Your box will work again.

The reason this is happening is because you are upgrading from ver4.51 to the latest file. In between these updates the was another update that required you to install the background data file. Those who upgrade from 4.54 will not be affected.

I opened the sticky back up a short while ago with a pack in downloads stating this.

Hi all
got a small prob...after following these instructions my"box" is stuck in the "On" stage and will not move on...So i though Hmmmmm i'll flash again to 5.54 and start afresh...Unfortunatly no matter what i do or what bin file i try to flash all i get is update failed and the box is still stuck on the "on" stage with a blank screen...Has any one got any ideas,,?? Cheers..
