    interesting idea.
but with the earth within +/- 3% 0f the size it was, 600 million years ago.
not much, current, evidence to back it up.

whilst Hisenburge shows energy can come from nothing. it has never been shown that the same is true of mass.

on the bright side, Mr Adams art is very good.

this said. the earth's land has expanded/risen, over the last 12000 or so years. because the crust has "rebounded" as the ice crust retreated.
its just the "overall" diameter, has remained constant.

I like this theory - we have tons of debris fall each day from space, I wonder how much it would affect the size of earth over millions of years?

Sorry but it doesnt explain the collision of tectonic plates to create the vast mountain ranges.....if the earth were expanding then these collisions wouldnt happen.......

it doesn't have any effect, well significant effect.

    Earth weighs roughly 6,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 tonnes.
it get, roughly 100 tonnes of space rock each year.

now my math is crap but i think that's less than 3% increase in mass over 4.5 billion years (please correct if wrong)

if you add the fact earth lost quite a bit of mass when the moon was formed.
the earth has lost mass not grown, over its life.
