A quiet Monday night in Liverpool descended into chaos last night as sozzled students made the most of a cut-price booze tour.

The "Cavemen vs Cavegirls" theme night saw partygoers take their costumes a little too literally with youngsters urinating up walls and brawling on the pavement.

Paramedics were on high alert as the infamous cheap booze tour took its usual turn for the worse after crowds drank to excess before spilling out into the street.

Some suffered no more than a shocking loss of dignity with the risque dresscode seeing bare-chested men and barely-dressed girls fornicating under lamp posts.

Others were not so lucky following what is now dubbed "Britain's No1 student event".

Crews were also seen tending to vomit-covered youths who decorated the pavement with their bargain skinful before being carried home by mates.
