Opening a Rapidshare Account and setting up IDM

1. Open a Premium Account at:

www.rapidshare.com

make a note of your username and password. Go to rapidshare home page, In the dropdown menu choose Premium account login, Go into your account and go to options, once in options, tick the box direct downloads and change your password and “Login-alias” if you wish. If you change your login and password details make another note.

2. Install Internet Download Manager; Make sure you choose to fully integrate it when asked on install

3. Use the crack in the IDM download to crack the program

4. If ever asked to update the program on start up, click NO as it destroys the crack usually

5. Once installed follow these pics to automate downloads from rapidshare using IDM and your Premium Account.

6. Open IDM, on the top menu bar, Open Options, General Screen Pops up, Choose from Options if you want IDM to launch at start up etc and select the browser you want to integrate IDM into.



7. Choose Connection from Top Menu and set up the Type of connection you use, default no of maximum connections ( I recommend 7 or 8)



8. Choose Downloads From Top Menu Bar and set up where you want your completed downloads to be stored. Use the drop down menu to choose what downloads are stored where. i.e. Docs, Videos etc. I use an external drive



9. Choose Site Logins and select New. Put in your Premium account login and password, In the Drop down menu on the left choose https:// and enter the following text (ssl.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/premiumzone.cgi) click ok

Downloading From Rapidshare using IDM program

1. Find the links you want to download from rapidshare using IDM , highlight all links and right click on your mouse, in the drop down menu choose “Download with IDM” left click on mouse.



3. IDM Box will open up, select Check All, click OK



4. IDM will open , if it doesn’t select it from your system tray, Click on Start Queue from the Top Menu, IDM will start to download all files in your Queue.



5. Once downloaded, It saves all your Downloaded files in your chosen location, Go there and extract as normal.

Thanks for the valuable instruction, but I do not have a premium account of repidshare. We do not use paypal in Taiwan. Any other solution?

Hi folks just installed IDM as per devilfish info above, problem is when i load links into IDM i am getting file types as HTML and not winrar files, ive checked to see if i can find the prob but no joy anybody know what ive done wrong.............Cheers

That usually means that the files have been removed from the RS server.

Put the links into your browser and see what it says.

Hi Devilfish i seem to be ok when i copy links one at a time it will take me to rapidshare then i click premium user and download and all is working, it appears that im not going straight to the download but just to the address, need to retrace my steps..................Thanks mate

If the link has the .html bit on the end it won't work if you select them all (I hate it when people post the links like this).

You need to just copy up to the .rar part.

I can't get this to work. I only get html file.

I have tried it on this DOROTHY MILLS (2009), I just select all inside box and right hand click etc. All I get is 8 html files to download. When an individual one is placed in browser all is ok. I had trouble using the patch on the IDM version at the end of your first post, but I managed to use another and patched that ok. Could that have some bearing?

This means that you haven't added your username and password to the options or your account has expired.
