Downloads: 39 Uploads: 7 ![]() | Two problems, I have just purchased Windows 7 Upgrade. I intend to install it on my Revo 3600 under the telly job, to use as a media player. My revo has no 'real' operating system, so it isn't getting upgraded, just a clean install.. will Windows 7 upgrade be ok? Secondly, I downloaded the .iso file, and have burnt it to disc, but my Revo doesn't have a DVD Rom drive, just USB inputs.. can I load it onto a stick to do the install? I had the option of downloading an .exe file and a .iso file.. my reasoning to download .iso was so I can boot it off the disc to do fresh install, dunno if I made a booboo in a number of ways really. Any help gladly appreciated.

| DK Veteran | Microsoft has a handy guide here : Microsoft Store: Download Manager Help and the tool here : http://images2.store.microsoft.com/p...B-DVD-tool.exe - here's a handy guide too : Creating Bootable Vista / Windows 7 USB Flash Drive at Kevin’s Blog However, it's an UPGRADE version so you probably paid less for it. it's designed to UPGRADE a current windows OS - if you don't it'll fail at the licence activation screen. Have a read here : Clean Install Windows 7 With Upgrade Media and Product Key on Formatted or Empty Blank Hard Drive My Digital Life |

Downloads: 39 Uploads: 7 ![]() | Hi Man Just to let you know I sorted it, had a small problem booting from USB stick, but it is all good now. Some really valuable tips in the links you gave me. especially Clean Install Windows 7 With Upgrade Media and Product Key on Formatted or Empty Blank Hard Drive My Digital Life My Win7 Upgrade activated without problems, possibly because I did an unintentional double install. Reason being, I booted it off the USB stick, and then when it went thru its restart business which it said it might, it booted back to stick coz of the altered BIOS. Before it could do a third boot back to stick I altered BIOS to boot from HDD. Wether or not this is the reason for activating sucessful I don't know, but there has never been a previous version of Windows on this puter. Another big thanks. Xant
