I recently purchased a second hand A780 off eBay. It was pre flashed so I updated it over the internet. Every time I tried to scan I got the "already exist" for network ID. I tried everything, removing all splitters from the feed etc but still no luck. The loop through works fine as I've plugged in the original VM box and that works fine. I already have a A780 so I did a software transfer and a channel data transfer to the new box. I have have all the channels but get a no or bad signal on every channel (even FTA). my old A780 works fine on the same feed. Have I been sold a box with a broken tuner or is there something else I can try? Thanks.
Try a factory reset then rescan.
I've tried that several times.
flash it again using a null cable ?? wont hurt ..
To me it sounds like a fault with the LAN port on the back of the box is it flashing orange when connected.
I have no easily available computer with a serial port to flash it with and I've updated it both over the internet and with a software transfer from box to box. It isn't the LAN port as I've already updated the software over the LAN and FTA channels aren't working which don't require the LAN port. Thanks.
you have got the coax going into the in and not out![]()

No I haven't. I've checked that too.
correct net id ??
Plus get a dish kv sv are shite m8
It doesn't give me the option to pick a net id when I scan. It just says "Already exist". I'm choosing Telewest and Network which works on my other box.

I've done everything the video says. Like I said when it gets to selecting net id I only get "already exist".
unplug box from wall leave for 5 minutes and try again
I left it for 90 minutes. Came back and tried everything again.
