New to Satellite

I have been using cable for a few years and now its going I am really going to be stuffed with Saturday Football. I am looking to do the sky dish but I really dont know where to start.

Is a dm500s good?

I have a 64cm dish which is not motorised.

What software do i need to use and how would i get all the footy channels?

Once nag3 hits m8, free tv is over for good. Its not the end of the world though, as you could always get a sub, sly or virmin.

It baffles me how the cable freeloaders seem to think they now have a right to free TV ,
We were on to a good one with all our dodgy boxes , however even a bufoon could guess it wouldn`t last forever , Now that time is coming , the general opinion is "we can stick a dish up and get free TV that way"
Well it aint gonna happen matey !
Subscription is your only option now , as in pay for what you use , its a strange concept but most hardworking folk seem to get there heads around it fine !!!

I understand its not gonna be free. Those tossers at virmin anyway to get us out of our money. not going to happen. I have read a little about card sharing but i wouldnt know how to get it set up on the actual DB500s.

c/s is not allowed on dk m8, but google is your best friend.

southpaw,it baffles me how you can call someone a freeloader and a buffoon in one post and end with nothing personel and think thats ok.im a so called cable freeloader and come from hard working folk.so is my father who is 70 and still working,and i set him up with cable as he is not made of money,so he gets to watch a few football matches for free rather than subscribe to a bunch of greedy robbing b******s at sky,who not only want your subscription but then batter you with adverts every ten minutes.for me subscribed paid for channels should be advert free.there are plenty of people on here who also post in the cable section so i presume have cable and sat.are they all freeloaders?i have only recently got into sat and i must say am enjoying playing with it much more than cable, a lot more scope,and its not all down to free tv.but do you pay for all the channels you get.or are there a few you dont.you seem to have posted a fair few times and so im presuming your quite knowledgable,so why dont you just give badboy247 the benefit of your experience.or are you a buffoon,nothing personal.

So after all that is anyone point me in the right direction to my free tv.

As i am a hard working individual who doesnt want to make the rich richer and the poor, poorer. Dont know about you mate but not everyone is made of money. Its not my divine right to have free tv but if there is a way to obtain it I would rather than paying &0pounds a month.
