un-used protek 9600

I have a protek 9600, which hasn been used in a while. I connected it back up through the internet to see if the channels are still availible and notting. What do i need to do with this box to get nova and so on working again. Do i need to connect it to my pc and download something . If so what and where. Thanks.

hi m8. the greek package isnt available on the 9600 at the moment.plug your box into the router and the go to internet in the menu and use the webloader to patch your box with t63 software and then add the k35 keyfile. when you have finished do a factory reset and re-scan your satellites and all should be well.
you will be well pleased with whats open m8. regards mdt

just type the adress i sent you via pm into the box via the remote in the internet section and the box will download the patch and keyfile directly from the server. the webloader is built into the box. regards mdt p.s. let us know how you get on!

When i entered the web address i had to delete http because it would not all fit in each line, but it told me there was no conection. I have everything in the internet section set to on. When i retry http comes back in each line which means the last few letters of the web address are missing. I have the protek connected to my router. I just dont know what im doing wrong.

sorry m8 you dont use the www., leave the http in and just put the address in for t63 and it will take a couple of mins then re-boot. when you have done that do the same with k35. ive just checked it for you on mine and it downloaded the patch(t63) but wouldnt download the keyfile(k35) just keep trying and it will work eventually. turn the newcamd to off if you want to open the digi pack on thor. if you still cant do it pm me your email address and ill send you the v 1.3 uploader/t63 and k35 in bin file format so you can do it manually via a null-modem cable and your p.c. regards mdt

Thanks mdt its workin perfect. I have the protek two years and never knew who to get it workin, had to drive one hour away to wear i bought it to get them to load it. Thanks again.

Yes mate similar. The packages that it opens are not quite as good as spiderbox nor in terms of spec is it quite as flexible but on the positive side the box doesn`t lose its gift after 12 months.

good value for money imho.

Dorcel off?

Is it just me, or is Dorcel tv and the others in the package now off air on 13deg hotbird.

The protek has uodated automaticaly & i even tried a re-scan.

Still missing Dorcel, french lover etc..

Any help apprecited.
