sky card in dm800hd???

hey guys,
can someone point me in a direction where rhis has been solved already or let me know how i can do this.
i have full sub to sky hd + multi room.i got 800hd and need to get my second card working in this box,phoned sky to get rhem to do it and they said it cant be done.im no tech head but i guess it can.
is there a way i can do it without the help of useless sky customer services.she asked for model and serial number then came stuck and said cant be done.
I did give her ser and model but that did not help,unless i gave her wrong thing???

to get your sky card working in your dm800 you need to download and install cccam 2.13 (or 2.14) with config and enter you box key in the config file.

i would tell you more but that would be like shaking your willy after you had a pee.

its well covered here.

you may run into other problems with sky though as you multi room box (2nd box) may not callback to sky as much as they would like and as such you may have more hassles than you bargined for now.

anyway IT CAN WORK.

also. is the 2nd card used in a sky hd box already? as if its not you wont get hd from it (as far as i know). you will have to pay the extra ?10. and if youre only trying to get HD from that card and your Dm800 i think youve wasted your time and money. unless you plan to CS with it as well.

in the cccam file, oyu need to ad a line like this

BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 12 34 56 78

the 12345678 being the box key

as for the 1st chap, you will get charged 2 full subs if you take your card out of one of the sky boxes, so you might aswell keep em in

The reason you'll get hit for 2 subs is because the 800 does not have a phone modem.

Therefore it cannot do a callback and Sky will charge for the full price of the multiroom......... 2 boxes 2 costs.

ic,yeah they tried that last time with me.they phoned and told me if i dont plug in phone line they will start charging 2 subs.so best cancel multi,and use other means.

sorry to sound really daft, but.....where can i find my boxkey?

im using cccam 2.1.4 at the moment...with nabilo dm800hd...

is it as straight forward as putting the boxkey in the cccam config file, or iv read u have to convert it using a generator?

any help or advice would be appreciated..

you need a hex converter, search on google for it. get the box numner off your box or off the sky menu and put it in to the converter. this will give you the box key

MENU OPTION
To get your boxkey find your sky serial number in the menu.
On your Sky Menu there should be a 10 digit serial number.
DELETE THE FIRST 2 Digits and use a Dec to hex converter
(windows calculator on every pc)
which will result in 7 digits hex. Add a 0 to the front and you
got your BOXKEY


or if using the 17 digit no. on bottom of box

when i put the boxkey number on the hex converter, it gives me a 19 digit long number?

do i put this in after > BOXKEY: /dev/sci0
