hi mate.. your dreambox needs to be connected to your router.. then you use your pc to tap into it via your home network

what image and emu are you using..??
what satellite is your dish aimed at..??

this isnt a technical support line mate.. you dont get instant feedback.. the forum is manned by normal people, not paid workers, answers can come right away or in a few days..

you need to plug the ethernet cable from the box into the router, then go into settings with the remote control and fill in the communication set up with ip address, nameserver and gateway.. these you should know from your home network..

if you are looking to clear sky then you need an official subscription or google cardsharing..

if you are looking at the latter you will need to log into your router with your pc then enable port forwarding and finally set up a DynDNS account

then after all that you will need to edit your emu config then FTP it over your network to the box..

Sky satellite is not unlocked and this machine isnt plug and play, it requires some top end networking skills to get the box up and running and clearing channels

If your ip address is 192.168.x.xx then your gateway address is 192.168.x.1

If your looking to view channels its a lot more complicated than just connecting the box to the router. I suggest you look at some tutorials on Google or something. You CANNOT get these channels for nothing. Plus as stated by opsmonkey its quite complicated if you have no networking skills.

Also theres a lot more free channels than 3 or 4 so if your literally getting 3 or 4 your dm500 is faulty.

I doubt that his dm500 is faulty but rather that he does not have it configured correctly.
