I would prefer to use the card that will be deactivated.

Plus is there any risk involved in me using the deactivated card to set up cs to view encrypted channels like sky sports.

Once the card is deactivated it wont give you any channels, they will deactivate it, theres no chance of them not.

So does that mean i have to use the new card i recive in my sky hd box to set up cs?

I have read it may be possible to use the deactivated card by activating it somehow, any ideas?

I have also heard you can use a freecardsharing server so there may not be any need for me to subscribe to sky at all

By me connecting to a freecardsharing server that means i dont need a card in my dm500s right?

Also if i am a client on the server do i need to connect my dm500s to my router via straight through ethernet cable to watch channels or do i jus connect the sat coax cable coming from the dish?
