Dish set up

Can anyone help,

I have a dm800 with the latest nablosat BL75 and I have setup my 1 mtr moterised dish and can can get BBC world news ok.

I have uploaded the motor 45E to 43W service file and got a few channels throughout the sats. I then done a scan on all the sats and it only picked up 7 sats

Telstar 12 - 15W
Atlantic Bird 1 - 12.5W
Atlantic Bird 3 - 5 W
THOR 2,3,5 - 1W
Sirus 4 - 4.8E
Eutelsat - 7E
Astra 3A/1D - 23.5E

But I wanted Astra - 28.2 E, Hotbird - 13E

Is there some reason I cant pick them up.. When my dish turns to 28.2 it wont even pickup in the sat finder?

Try another channel list. You are missing a lot. Did you use diseqc or usals. As the list may alter settings. If using diseqc manually tune.

Using usals and have tried uploading the UK sats which is just hotbird and astra and still wont pick up

are they setup in the tuner configeration only some maybe setup
scroll to the sat 28.2 , 28.4 or 28.5 (as these are all the same sat ) you want scroll down to lnb and scroll right to activate sat

There setup in the sat finder but Im using usuals. However, I cant find them in the tuner config, i.e. If i go into advance there not there and I cant set them up manualy.

I'm going to reflash the image and start again

Update-

when I set the goto 0 command the dish motor goes to 0, when I use the sat finder and point it a t Astra 28.2E the motor moves to around 35%.... is this normal or should it just move to 28.2?

No, is shows no signal on the sat finder, So i think some settings must be wrong somewhere. I've finninshed now for today, had enougth, try again tomorrow. I think I'll need to reset the motor and see what that comes up with. its just funny that I get locks on some sats (ones detailed at start) and not others.

looks like you can see east or west to a certain point and thenyour signal dies off i guess ?

when on thor does you dish look more or less upright and not pointing to high maybe a problem there ?

have you tried the manual moving when on a sat, say 28.2e. through the sat settings on the box?, sometimes its just out a little, but as you seem to be getting others across the arc im not to sure.
