and if you get a tv does it need a freeview HD tuner to recieve HD and is there any about?

it makes a ~~~~in mockery of the so called HD ready tvs with built in freeview and makes em not very HD ready at all

in fact they should be done over and ~~~~ed with a big stick for not being HD ready at all

yes, the humax is the only current freeview HD receiver on the market.

are you seriously complaining about HD Ready TV's? HD devices were ready to be sold YEARS before the freeview HD platform was even finalised (DVB-T2 - a totally new format currently only in use in the UK)

all current TVs will have freeview tuners in them so if you want freeview HD you'll need a freeview HD STB or wait for a HD telly to come out with a HD tuner built in.

this was never the techologies fault, it's just how things progress. they are HD ready - but for HD devices like blu ray players, media centres, freesat HD boxes, etc. don't be so naieve.

so they are not HD ready then are they

and tbh they have been sold to most of the public as the must have thing when buying a TV to make sure its HD ready before you buy it when most people especially the older generation think they are already up to date cos they have bought a HD ready tv

i think your reply is pathetic tbh i know it wont work but there are millions of people out there who dont know what blue ray and HD actually really is and many more who dont even realise they need a set top box to view HD they think they are all future proofed cos they bought a HD ready tv

when really they have just been conned by misinformation and thats the point im trying to make not everyone is as bright as you are man of science

I read somewhere that if you are in the running for HD then at all costs avoid HD Ready.
