Use of hdmi without HD sub?

Just a quicky, can I still connect a sky HD box to tv via hdmi or does it only work when subscribed to HD pack? Sounds stupid but obviously want optimum connection to tv.

it will still connect through hdmi cable unless you pay for it the only hd channel
you will get is bbc hd

Cheers bud. Will get the world cup in HD and might upgrade the package at a later date.

You also get ITV HD but you have to tune this in manually.

try connecting your hd box to your free to air via scart socket may work may not some one will know if it does
