Hi iv been trying to set my dreambox dm 500s up allday I can get fta programmes but not the incrypted ones could somone let me know if it's possible and how I would really appreciate it because it's wrecking me thanks in advance for any help. Cheers!

have you got cccam enabled, and how are you aquiring encrypted channels your trying to view

Thanks for your reply, but what is c/s I'm a real novice to all this an I'm not sure if I have cccams enebled iv only received the box this morning thanks for anymore help cheers!

You need to do a lot of reading m8. It's not like a cable box, it's more complicated. CS is card sharing which is a way of acquiring unencrypted sat channels.
Have a look on Google theres plenty of sites there that discuss the topic. we don't discuss it here it's against the rules.

Hannaman if you have moved from cable this is a different ball game mate.

You will not get encrypted channels unless you either pay for a subscription or join either a free (if your lucky) or paying card sharing server - which cant be taked about here hence Joes advice to do a bit searching on google.

You can open the digi channels (not films) on 1w and few others just now but that about it. On the dm500 to open these yoiu will need to have an emu/cam that is capable (e.g. cccam, mgcamd etc).

Do a bit reading of the forums mate. An hours reading is worth is well worth it honestly.

and if you did want to go the cs route you would need broadband and a broadband router which your box would need to be connected to at all times .if you have a bit of computer experience and experience with cable/satellite boxes you might pick it up in a few days ,but if you have no experience at all you could be talking weeks .
