how to add satellites-dreambox 500s

Can anybody help me add more satellites to my dreambox 500s.At the moment i got 13e,19e and 28e. I tried motor set up, transponder scan but no luck. Thanks in advance.

google and find a satelite.xml generator and create the file that suits you ie. choose whatever sats you need and create the file.
ftp it into var/etc ( i think) and away you go!

Thanks tomhhick, i selected a satellite 1w tried auto scan transponders but it wont lock. am i missing anything.other sats signals are ok 85-90 snr.

If you have 1w in your sat list and no lock on, sounds like dish position is off or your dish is too small to pick it up.
Dont have motor setup myself so only relying on info i read but i think you would need 90cm - 1M dish to pick up 1w!

I managed to have a lock on 1w (snr 85%) auto scanned 10 transponders with 39 services does this means i am on the right alignment.dish size 1m.

if you have sat stored as 1w and sat xml is 0.8 w this causes the issue.
Post what channels you found to clarify if on correct sat mate.
