can you guys give me some advice about satellite

hey men

i've been thinking of investing in a satellite for a while now. and now i want to get one

my mate said i can get a package motorised dish reciver ect for ?200 and it goes into your
pc / laptop you click want u want to watch and the dish that its pointing in the east position
will move to the frequency the channel is on.
but when i dont a little search on the internet its like buy this cam and all that.

i am confused already

all i want the satellite for is to watch 3pm kickoffs in my living room
can any one help me?

Technomate 5400 with latest patch and softcam loaded and a 1mtr dish pointing @ 1'west thor satellite will sort you out for now until encryption changes to nag3 m8.

There no guarantees in this hobby m8.thats why i suggesting you start with basic setup to see how you enjoy it first.You could get a TM600 which runs linux and go down the card sharing route but we not allowed to talk about it on this forum.Google for cardsharing.

hi m8, choose the tm600 instead of the tm5400 and you will be in a better position when digi tv finally goes to n3 as the tm600 is a linux based stb which also has a lan socket so you can connect to free or pay s******. google c/s and have a read on the net although alot of forums dont allow detailed chat on c/s as its highley dodgy. my advice is have a good read around this forum and others and learn a bit about it before you spend your hard earned and get ready for next season. id also say have a look at the spiderbox/protek hi def receivers aswell, regards mdt
