Migrating from Dbox2 VM to which Sat Reciver?

Hi, I am new to the Satalite scene but have been using my Dbox2 without problems for 5 years on cable, I was just wondering if it is worth buying a sat version of the dbox2 or can anyone reccomend a reciver? plus is it worth my while?

    many thanks

a linux receiver will give you the most options and combine that with a motorised sat dish, not a lot left open on just emu and keys anymore so google card sharing as it cant be discussed here

yeah I was looking at that, its ok I have a Nokia DBox2, had it for the last 5 years and I was looking at the sat version of it just wondered if it was worth getting one as N3 is almost 100% here but i was reading that the sat version already been using N3, i may just end up getting a VM sub but my Dbox was a hobby of mine haha

          thanks

id say get yourself a technomate 600 and a 90/100cm motorised dish. the tm600 runs on enigma1 os so you shouldnt have any real trouble getting to grips with it. alot of members will say get a dreambox but for a original and not a clone they are very expensive. for ?200 you can get yourself a motorised system with c/s capabilaties and if its not for you you havent spent a great deal of money, also there is a tm800hd due out very soon if your looking for a hi-def receiver. take your time and have a look at the pro,s and cons of each stb and then make your choice. regards mdt
