sagem dbox2 what the best image to flash it with

    Hi. all
just thought is there an image that will auto roll keys because it is just getting a bit boring now that they keep on rolling the codes nearly every day now. I have never flash my box before but if it stops me having to wait for keys to be put on the internet well it will be a winner for me. I have the sport star 1.7 uk04 image sagem dbox 2 any help much appreciated

the best way for you is to put in the new roms into the box you will need to connect to it via flash fxp and transfere them

Best image to use on sagem is the Andromeda v2, nice quick menus and no problems with picture or anything. Get the updated au fixed roms and put them in /var/keys/ Use evocamd.

Hi, m8, what image are you using?
I've got the new vir..n 3+ on a sagem 1x box running mgcand.
I does freeze, sometimes after an hour, sometimes a hour and a half.
I will be getting rid of many chs that i don't watch to see if that makes a different. Or i will try gbox or another image when i get the time

It might be a lot easier to try evocamd first, before dabbling with gbox! But switch off mgcamd before you start evocamd. And don't forget to chmod 755 the new cam as well. And for Sagem, try going into Settings > Driver/Boot Options and turn enxWatchdog to ON, then reboot.

                  Cheers- AL

                    Hi,
vocamd was the default for the image. I switched to mgcamd because of the same problem.
it was actually worse on evocamd. I know that you've said that the image was designed for "premier" boxes, like the nokia, but, do you have any suggestions?
I'am at the moment stripping out all chs that are not wanted. That is the only thing i can think of at the moment.
Another question, if i backup the working image to the pc, the try another image, if i reflash with the backup, that should work straight away, yes?
And can i use the VM bouquet with another image?
                    Lots of questions

I also recommend you try one of Xenafan's images that have been built specifically for grotty sagems- Blade, Andromeda, etc.

                      Cheers- AL

                        Philip/sager rc workaround: off
                        spts mode fix: off

Try different permutations of these three settings, remembering to SAVE each time on the way back out with the red button.

enable Avia watchdog: off / on
enable enx watchdog: off / on
enable pmt update: off / on

The rest of your settings in there look fine, so leave them alone. You shouldn't need to reboot each time, just go Services > Restart Neutrino

Be patient- don't expect miracles - there are 9 combinations to assess here. See if you can find a pairing that gives more stability than the others, over an hour or two of monitoring.

Google for mercs.us and use the Real Magic files, and yes- these will work in any image. Though sometimes the PATH for the cams might vary. Industry Standard these days is /var/bin/emu (for the SoftCam Menu to work correctly)- but some use /bin while others prefer /bin/emu and /var/bin is also not unheard of...

                          Cheers- AL

                            Hi, PaP,
                            enable enx watchdog: on
                            enable pmt update: on

seems to have made a huge difference, only froze once in 4 hrs.
Will be doing some more testing today, so will report back later tonight.

                              Used to have Sportster Pro

But was going to reflash with commando 12.

I don't think the dbox will work anymore with TV but i don't watch it anyway.. more interested in the media center side for the time being.

Anyone tried Commando 12 on a Segem Dbox?

Maybe i should upgrade for blueray streams but the 5.1 through optics still a good option for now.
