Hi.

Hope you can give me some good advice please.

I have a Technomate 7755 with conax patch and Digitalb card for footy that expired end of last season. Was thinking of maybe geting another card if footy comes back on to 3pm saturday.

Anyways. Have been lurking around the web and have seen mention of Diablo Cam 2.3. Now, am bit thick with such things, so would like your advice please.

Have seen Diablo Cam 2.3 loaded with underworld for around ?75.
Have seen Diablo Cam 2.3 loaded with underworld and cas 3 programmer for around ?130.

Would you advise to get loader as well? how long will this patch last if just paying the ?75? (ok, how longs a piece of string, but best guess.

Important bit. Does it work in the Techmate 7755? or is there a more suitable reciever? dont want to spend too much.

Do I have to enter keys every other day/week, or is it plug and play untill new update needed?

Is there an easier alternative to get 16" east??

hi m8,
i would go for the cam and cas3 programmer as
there is no point buying a cam without a programmer
files can last for weeks or days, you will need to re-load the
cam or add keys when the providers change the keys etc:
the diablo works good in the technomate receivers
and there is only a subscription card to open digialb and
the card is more costly than the cam and cas3 programmer
for the conax chns on thor 1w and eutelsat on 16e i have
never had to load any keys when they change a new file
is posted very quickly to get the channels back again
the cam also open other channels on other satellites and
is the best support cam and opens lost more than most
other cams and receivers at this time, to get the best
from the cam you realy need a motorised dish system,
the cam is very easy to load with a cas 3 programmer
and if you go for a diablo cam i will post how to program
the diablo for you.

couple of quick things.

I do have an expired Digitalb card, do I need to put the card in the cam or not?? not a big issue I know.

You say keys update automatically, at what point would I need to use the programer?

hi m8,
when i say i never add keys on the cam thats for digialb on 16e and the canal+nordic chns on 1w. when key files are posted they are usualy for the sexview chns on hotbird satellite and these dont interest me, as for a card in the cam you dont need one the file goes
into the cam chip and it then opens the channels for you,
the providers do make encryption changes from time to time thats when you load the new underworld file to open the channels again the files for the cam are posted on the forum. i posted the latest file here:---

and as i said the cam is easy to program and if you decide to get one i will post a doc that tells you how to load a file on the cam

there is usualy a change every couple of weeks but we get a new dup file very fast usualy within 24 hrs and then when loaded on the cam the chns
are open again, do you think you would be better motorising your system
or moving the dish to thor 1w and then you will get far more channels
with sport,film,discovery.animal planet hbo chns, hallmark carton,adult'etc
and you will get double the channels that are open on 16e. i thought i had
read that the premiere football was leaving digialb

I have read that the Saturday 3pm ko,s start on dec 6th on Digitalb, tho dont take that as gospel. As Benny9 says 1w is by far the better package and I usually get the choice of 3 games on a sat afternoon on 1w conax.. Of course nothing is garunteed, like everything in life its a gamble.

If you heard from darkman's place its probably not true. He just likes selling the cards easily. 1west with a cam will be so good for FOOTY.

My dish is fixed at 16"e, but am now thinking along the lines of geting motorised.

Called a local sat guy but he says he does not do this and the chap who put the dish up originally said he did not do motors.

Now if these guys dont bother it must be hard.

Could any of you impart some advice or know of anyone in the merseyside, specificaly ST Helens area, that could help.
