    Sky Multi Room Help!!!

Hi everyone. this my first time starting a thread, so be nice.

The problem i got is, im getting sky+ hd & multi room next week and i wanted a sky+ box for my room.

But the thing is i already have a standard sky box in my living room, which is getting swapped for the sky+hd, so the original sky box is coming to my room. I've looked on fleabay for a sky+ box. it's well cheap. My dilemma is, if i buy the sky+ box, would it work in my room if i was to switch it around. Would recording work?

    Thanks In Advance

you would need two feeds to the room from the dish.
when you install the box you woul then need to insert the card then ring up to get your card paired to the new box.

Another way to pair the card without phoning SKY is do a new install on installers menu, this automatically gets the box to do a callback to SKY and pairs card in that box to box and activates it instantly, saves cost of lengthy call to SKY.

Only works for the non-premium channels - You still need to phone up to get the card paired for movies/sports

I had sky sd in my name, then cancelled sky for a while. My girlfriend subscribed to sky+ hd in her name, so i have the hd box in the living room and the sd box in the bedroom.

I can take the card from the hd box to the sd box upstairs and it works, i never paired it with the sd box, i stuck it in by chance to see if it worked and it did.
