DM800 - TV does not auto detect signal when switched on

    DM800 - TV does not auto detect signal when switched on

    Hello,

    Got a small problem with me DM800.

    I switch my TV on and once thats powered on I switch on the DM. But the TV just sits there doing nothing.

    With my dm500, cable box, blueray player, xbox etc when I do this it automatically switches to the device just turned on.

    It doesnt do this with the DM. Both on scart and HDMI-DVI cable. It just doesnt auto detect, so I have to go into source in the TV menu and select the source, say hdmi.

    I have tried a new scart cable. Tried a new DVI cable. Have turned the TV off from the plug and back on again, tried different ports. Still the same.

    Any ideas? Or have I just got a duff box?

      Very strange.
      My DM always switch TV.
      What you have image inside DM ?
      I use Gemini no problem anything.

          Is it set to DVI under A\V settings ?

              yes make sure its set to dvi

                  Yup its set to DVI. It doesnt show a picture if set to anything else. Seems somethings stopping the auto switch signal being sent, or the box aint sending it at all..I can switch to it using the source button on the tv no probs.

                  Dm500 works fine. auto detects straight away.

                  Have tried a few images. Currently running DreamElite BH 133 with updated drivers.

                  Tried OpenPLI and Gemini image too.

                      Have you got another DVI lead to try, it does sound like a dodgy box though m8

                              Have tried a different scart and a different HDMI...Supposed high quality one! Still the same.

                              Just tried on another TV which isnt HD with a scart. It picks up straight away. Obviously cant test with a HDMI cable, but scart doesnt work on the HD TV either.

                              But it cant be the TV cos all the other devices work fine, it just doesnt seem to like the dm800.

                              Gutted if its the box. Bit annoying selecting it from source each time.

                                  My TV has an option to start up in TV mode or AV mode, See if yours has that option in Menu > Setup

                                      Checked tv but it hasnt got those settings. Its a samsung series 9.

                                          hi try turning the box on first let it boot all the way then turn the tv on should auto find the box works on samsung 3d tv should work for you cheers plonker

                                              I have an exactly same problem as you deldoy. Previously I was using DM500, and had no issues at all, last week I bought a new TV and started using DM800, but when I turn the receiver on nothing happens! The box is connected with HDMI-DVI cable only to AV Receiver. Any help would be much appreciated.
