    4.3 shop channel updater v20

    Shopping Channel Update Instructions:
Digital Kaos - Downloads - 4.3 shop channel updater v20

Download the Shopping Channel v20 Update Files from link (IOS56-64-v5662.wad and Shopping Channel-NUS-v20.wad) copy them to the ?WAD? folder on the root of the SD Card.
Load WAD Manager from the Homebrew Channel.
    Select <IOS249> ? Press A.
    Nand Emulation <Disabled> ? Press A.
    Source <Wii SD Slot> ? Press A.
Select IOS56-64-v5662.wad and Press A ? Press A again to install.
Select Shopping Channel-NUS-v20.wad and Press A ? Press A again to install.
That?s it, once you have done this just restart the Wii. You should now have the updated Wii Shopping Channel v20.

So what are the advantages of having this updated Shopping Channel?

You can't buy anything unless you buy the Wii points card with the number on. You can download the Wii points number generator but thats not straight forward to run.

The only thing I've used the Shopping Channel for to install BBC iPlayer and the Internet Channel (Opera browser).

If you do happen to have points to spend and you download something does that download to the Wii drive or an SD card that you can save, or can you save it to an SD card later?

How big is the Wii drive because like all drives they get full eventually?

the wii memory is 512 mb if your running out of space try
AnyTitle Deleter - WiiBrew to remove channels you dont use like weather and photo channel.
an up to date shopping channel is needed for online game updates and the like,if you have updated from nintendo to 4.3 then your shopping channel should be ok.but if a new system menu comes out like 4.4 and you dont want to update from nintendo then you just get the safe shop channel updater for that system menu.

So they are still running system menu 4.3 at the moment then?

I was telling a friend of mine I'm softmodding so I can play downloaded games. He said when you get it sorted you can softmod mine? Now he must have had his 3-4 years (I will ask him tonight) so if he has never updated his system menu he could be 3.0. If I update it to 4.3 then I can do the same things I did with mine.

          Wii System Software

It says 4.3 deletes the Homebrew Channel and DVDX, title IDs HAXX, DVDX, JODI, DISC, and DISK., obviously you can install it back?

I know the Wii memory is 512 mb I'm talking about storage capacity?

I went over to my friends tonight to softmod his 4.3E. The softmod went ok well I had to go back home for my 2GB SD card because it wouldn't read boot.elf of my 8GB SDHC.

cIOS236 installer worked ok. Then I had the same trouble I had with mine getting cIOS249 to install. I took all the files I had used for mine but cIOSX rev21-Installer wouldn't work. You select the IOS249 and click 'A' then you get the warning notice and you press 'A' to continue or 'B' to reboot the Wii but it just sits there for 10 minutes. 'A' or 'B' did nothing I had to power down. I tried it 3 times without success. WAD Manger 17 did the same thing so I used Multi-Mod-Manager 13.4 and that installed USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad.

When you clicked on USB Loader GX it just said cIOS222, 249 or 250 are needed.

IOS236 app install correctly as sysCheck showed. The cIOSX rev20b-Installer didn't install. You select IOS249 and press 'A' to install it says loading IOS249 and click 'A' to install then you get the warning notice and you press 'A' to continue or 'B' to reboot the Wii but it just sits there for 10 minutes. 'A' or 'B' did nothing I had to power down. I didn't see the option to load from SD card or internet NUS but IOS236 app did?

I'm just going by what I installed on mine and it worked perfectly.

Now you hear of different IOS and cIOS files I assume the c is for custom? If it doesn't have a c then will it install using the same number?
