having probs with this pc. when i first plugged pwr lead in pc booted without hitting start button, went through start up sequence then it shows checksum error on black screen and cannot find disk, would only get as far as that so i used ultimate boot disc to scan and repair disk this found 532 damaged sectors repaired with software reloaded windows pc ran for about 1 hour rebooted saw the bad checksum error and date was re set in bios. on restart got the file missing in system 32 error/corrupt, now pc will not boot from cd....do u think i need to try a new hard drive your help would be mutch appreciated. ps could all these probs be caused by a bad hard drive.

solved hopefully, tried fresh pwr supply no luck, stripped comp down one component at a time..eg down to pwr video card and one stick of ram no luck decided to remove comp start button connection at mainboard which was a single nine pin connector replaced. pc seems okay now starting as it should the only conclusion ive come to is a bad connection in that area and was solved inadvertantly by removing and replacing said connector.Comment
