vcredist.msi problem

Had this problem a few years ago and dont remember how i
fixed it. I am trying to install Sonar 8 a music recording
software but it keeps asking me about vcredist.msi is
unavailable. I have d/l about 5 versions for my xp running-32
but still after 3 hrs my sotware wont install.

any ideas anyone.

Try to rename the key-name
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\F942F94A19C0F 79468FD2B85E5E8677B

to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\-
F942F94A19C0F79468FD2B85E5E8677B

and then re-run the installer. Let us know how you get on..
