R4 loads blank screen on newer games?!?

Hi All

Im using an official R4 card with firmware 1.18. with newer games i just get a blank screen. has anyone any ideas? Thanks for any ideas!

hi mj8 and welcome to D.K.

that firmware is years out of date.
if you install wood firmware on it all your games will play...

Digital Kaos - Downloads - woods 1.24

backup your card then delete your old firmware

extract files and copy the _rpg folder and ds.menu file to root of sd card

every game will work..

R4 with white screen on new games

hi , I have the same problem with clone R4 card and 1.18, the newer games just give a white screen and dont play, will the woods 1.23 help with the clone card? thanks

m8, if your card is runing 1.18 firmware then it is either an original or a 1:1 clone
either way it will work...

what makes you think it is a clone?

followed instructions and yep it all works , good job. I thought I heard the original R4's finished years ago and they have a 'bump' on one of the sides and that most R4's are now clones , however all the games seem to work. Thanks for your advise and help.

they did m8, but still alot of them around...

all r4i cards and sdhc capable cards are clones

Will the new woods allow me to play the new pokemon games and will my card still work and support 3d games on the 3ds? thanks for any help!

if you have an original r4, it will play almost all games on nds.
it wont work on the 3d models or even the dsi model
