R4I card not working

Hi all
Can someone help me my R4I V1.4.1 does not work on dsi xl the firmware for my XL is 1.4.1E, when i insert the r4 card the ds just shows ? menu.

that means the card cant read the firmware,

there should be a web address on the card, go onto the site and download the most up to date firmware for your card,
then backup any games/sav files you want to keep from the sd card and format it.

put the firmware you downloaded on your card and add a few games.....

I have already went on the site an tried the new firmware, but still no joy. I must be doing it wrong

you want to go to this page

then download the firmware from where i have circled.

when its downloaded, format sd card, then extract files and open the folder.
then copy the carious files/folders to root of sd card and add some games.

Am new to all this, my kids think am super mum, . What do you mean when you say to format it?

put the sd card into your computer, then go into computer, then right click over the sd card icon and select format.

if your not sure just delete everything, should be ok..

your card definatly says 1.4.1 on the front yes?

When i put the firmware on sd and right click their is nothin that says format, sorry to be a pain, :-/

It says V1.4.1 yep :-)
It also says wifi on the top left of card

no,
you need to format first, then put firmware on the card.

I have formatted the sd now , an put the firmware on, it still shows as ? menu on the ds, i have not yet put any games on so that might be the problem! Will try an put one on an see if it wrks. Thanks for ur help. much appreciated!! Anythin else i need to do

have you put the files on the sd card the correct way.

the files should be listed on sd card like this, not in folders.

well, that is the firmware for ya card...
only other thing you can do is try some other r4i firmwares.
you will find most of them here.
