factory reset lost 2/3rds of my channels

after an afternoon of trawling through the e/vox forums i have to admit defeat and do something we men do not do lightly, ask for help!!!

i have a eurovox blue and have been entering the keys manually, after a discussion with a friend about missing channels i did a power scan and got all of these lovely new channels, only to discover that all my favs had gone, q the trawling, did a factory reset, a new scan, but now have 250 odd channels instead of the 800 or so that i had after the power scan.would be very grateful for any ideas on a remedy

You shouldnt have 800 channels - sounds like you have had loads of redundant channels left over from previous scans where you havent deleted the old stuff first before doing another scan- 250 channels sounds about perfect, and even a good few of them are redundant or "front ends" (eg advertising the adult channels)

that looks to be bout right, have had to sort channels into favs and seem to have most of the main channels. i suppose i will have to wait and see if i have the pay per veiw event channels.

I forgot to add - a lot of the "dead" channels magically come alive after 9 or 10pm if you get my meaning, so dont delete them until you make sure there really is nothing on them - check em out late at night ;-)
