I have succesfully recorded from my open media500 cs cable mode with a digital koas image using ngrab. it plays on my computer with vlc however i need to find out how to play from the pc using my dreambox. i have tried vlc but it doesn't seem to work . is there another media player that can play when i mont the image. such as media player deluxe which is said to work on only nabilo image.

I guess that the files created with ngrab are in mpg format wich is supported by dreambox so you wont be needing vlcf
Just mount on your box the pc directory that you have stored your files and navigate to that folder with dreambox in file mode. Select the file you wish to play and press ok.
VLCF can be used in the case that the files you wish to play on the box are in a format that is not supported (like .avi .divx..... etc)Comment
