    ADVENT 4490 NETBOOK WITH VISTA

Bought one of these from pcworld for my teenage son just for browsing and light word processing.
It comes with 1gig memory & 120 hard drive 1.6 gig Intel N270 Atom Processor and windows Xp, Wifi, built in webcam. It works perfect but
does not have the good looks or the stability of Windows Vista so I
borrowed a Vista Home Premium disc from a friend and installed it as
a fresh install. After some time it finished installing and i used the drivers
that was originally supplied with it which is in the C Drive and and just installed the wifi drivers and than went to intel's website installed the driver recognition tool from Intel after running it directed me to my latest graphics
drivers.when installed I got a windows experience rating of 2.7 and had
the Vista Aero and Glass fully working really well also Vista updated my other
drivers. It works pretty well although I will probably take the 1 gig memory
out and replace it with a 2 gig stick. If I knew how to get to the hard drive
I would have changed that as well to a WD 7200 RPM HD, but there is no
panel underneath the netbook so I'm guessing its under the keyboard.
