How to remove password protection on files

    Hi all,

I have got a few compressed files which are pasword protected.

Does anyone know how i can remove the password protection, so i can extract them, and open them?

    Cheers

It is possible to run a password cracker on them which will run through basically every letter/number comnination available but can take a long time. for example on a six character password it can take over a week of constant running..

Ask the person who created them for the password

                Just downloaded that file

                Recovering password for the file:
                C:\...Downloads\VAG-COM-Auto_Diagnostic_Tool.part1.rar

This archive does not contain encrypted files.
