Would you propose to your man during a leap year

The tradition is said to date back to the 13th century, but why are women ?allowed? to propose on February 29th?

?It?s sometimes claimed -- without evidence -- that this idea was introduced into Scots Law in the 13th century, with a penalty of ?100 if a man didn?t accept the proposal.

no, i would never propose to any man.

if the man truly wants to get married, he will make the effort and put thought into saving for a nice ring himself. nothing is thought of women making romantic gestures, as we know how to be spontaneous and show love and feelings, but for a man to do it shows how prepared he is to make that commitment.

instead of having it all done for him, men get enough of that

It still leaves 365 days to get divorced.
