An innocent victim of "gangland madness": The church-going football captain and buddi

Kwame Ofosu-Asare, 17, son of a TV presenter, was chased by two hooded youths and repeatedly stabbed in South London

A budding teenage actor and footballer became an innocent victim of gangland madness when he was knifed to death, his dad said yesterday.

Kwame Ofosu-Asare, 17, son of a TV presenter, was chased by two hooded youths and repeatedly stabbed.

He and a friend are thought to have strayed into a gangs territory in Brixton, South London, on Friday.

His pal escaped after vaulting an 8ft fence but Kwame died from his horrific wounds on the way to hospital.

Dad Kwaku said: This is gangland madness. He had so much ambition and so much to live for.

He detested gang crime. He was the captain of his school football team, he was a very good actor.

"He went to church every week and wanted to get into music.

Kwame, an A-level student of Catford, South East London, had recently met England ace Rio Ferdinand and posted a photo of himself with the star on Facebook.

this is another shameful blot on society .... RIP

All the names in this story make their own loud statement. Rivers of blood perchance.
