Time machine randomly refuses to backup.

    Hey guys,

I seem to be experiencing a strange issue.

Every so often the operating system (Mac OS Lion 10.7.3) will refuse to backup via time machine and spits a "Device ID doesnt match" error. From what i can tell it means the UUID of the external drive (that im using for time machine) has changed or something, as a result time machine doesnt backup anything. Anyone got any ideas as to what is wrong or why this is happening?

I have a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook from 2008 running Mac OS Lion 10.7.3.

Problem is with your back up disk (you didn't state which one you use, info will be helpful) I did have the same problem after updating to 10.7.3 with Western Digital 2T.I just change the administrator password in WD and save the change and everything was back to normal

I'm an Apple lover iPod iPad iPad mini iMac iPhone 4s
I did have a time capsule & Atv2 but sold the both to get a mini mac ( to back up all my iMac stuff and watch xbmc )
The timecapsule unlike all other apple stuff was a ball ache
      Just my honest opinion
