Satellite Newbie questions

Hi Guys

Joined this forum a few months ago on the cable side and with the help of everyone not to mention HiTeck and Satsmo I was able to buy flash and install an Eurovox Ex5000 PVR successfully.

I would also like to learn about the satellite side purely for the HD channels which are not available in Cable. What I would like to ask is with the Eurovox EX8000 HD for Satellite, does it work in exactly the same principal, find the firmware on this site, download it, flash the box and scan for channels.

Also would you recommed a eurovox or a technomate. I am only really after UK HD channels, in particular sports and the sky + facility.

Sly cannot be (is not) hacked. The only way is to card share (google it), which is difficult and not much advice is available on this forum. Im sure more info will follow by more experienced sat enthusiasts.

No uk sport channels open..but 1west will give you uk sports..
