you will probably need to do a channel search... if its set on 28.2e/freesat the go into the installation menu,s and choose astra2/eurobird1 and then do a fta search with network search set to on. im just guessing here m8 but you really need to give us more information for us to help you, regards mdt

Hi dibin, Try and do a BLIND search/scan from receiver Installation menu on the satellite you are on. This should tune in all the available channels as long as your dish is aligned correctly. My advice is never do a factory reset unless you know what you are doing as you have found out. Regards.

the problem is that i want 9.0 and 28.2 but if i scan theses the signal strength stays at 18%-20% and wont go up.

Hi dibin. A couple of questions for you.

          1) Do you get ANY channels at the moment. ?
          2) Do you have a motor? If so is it moving?
          3) Were you getting 9.0 and 28.2 before.?
When you get a signal reading of 18-22 it can mean a number of things like alignment, cables or LNB problems. Have you checked the motor/LNB cable at the back of your receiver? Let us know how you get on.

Hi again. I just realised what may have happened. As you did a factory reset you probably lost all your settings for the satellite positions if you have a motor. If this is the case you will need to re-align your dish to a satellite. Do you know how to do this? Regards.

try this quick setup guide mate if your dish has been correctly installed you can ignore the bits about dish alignment.
if you can remember what longitude was set in the box when it was working so much the better as there is no guarantee it was your exact location longitude and may have been adjusted to tune the sats in.if you cant remember and your correct location longitude dont work you will have to re-align the motor/dish by using the wholeguide with your location longitude set. or hunt for the setting by changeing your longitude in the box by say 0.5 degrees at a time E/W then dropping to 0.2 degrees at a time once a signal is found.

Hi dibin. For the above to work you need to make sure that the motor is actually working and moving the dish. If you go into the satellite setup menu what are your signal strengths for LEVEL and QUALITY. In my TM5400 i can tell from signal levels if i have a problem with motor, cables, LNB or alignment. Like i said you need to start with the motor first otherwise you wont get anywhere. Out of curiosity any reason why you did a factory reset? If you live in London and if you like i could come and have a quick look for you. Regards.

Hi dibin. Another thing to remember, because it happened to me a while back with my TM5400, is this. When you do a factory reset if you have a motor it tends to delete all satellite entries in your motor set up. I had to re-save the satellites again to put an entry into my motor menu otherwise you wont be able to change anything in motor menu ie i was getting message ' NO SATELLITES'. For my receiver( it may be the same for other receivers) to save satellites i had to do the following:
                        a) Press MENU.
                        b)Select INSTALLATION.
                        c) Select SATELLITE SETUP.
                        d) Scroll through the satellite names and for each one that you wish to find press YELLOW button to save. When you save a satellite it will put an entry into your motor settings.
Nb for your info - if before you did a factory reset you saved your channel list to USB you can then restore the channel list back and this would have put the motor entries back as they were, although you may have to re-enter your USALS location figures again. Hope this makes sense.
                        Regards.

Hi. I did specify it was for a TM5400 but is the method the same albeit different menus or do linux boxes have satellites pre-installed in motor menu? Regards.

it should work, if you dont fully understand what you are doing read up a bit more/ask specific questions saying what you have done and what bits dont work in the guide or wait for the bloke to come back.
