The phone has a security code enabled, try 12345 the default on most Nokia's but if that doesn't work it will usually involve a factory reset...
Almost any dealer who unlocks handsets should be able to reset the device.
Sadly although there are free tools to do this, it can't be done with just a USB cable as the handset needs to be forced into test mode... Sadly the USB cable is not enabled until the security code is bypassed!
Oh well, off to the rip off phone shop.........................
If they charge you ?5 to ?10 I wouldn't call it a rip-off. Keep in mind that he or she may have spent a lot of money on the kit used to reset the code! Even if it takes just a few seconds to do, the costs involved are quite large!

I think he means its been reported as stolen in a past life, but not to sure how he found this out because the iemi number aint on it and its still the same as when i gave it him!!

Go out to the nearsest call box, find a free phone number of ANY network, call there freephone number and say
"Hi, cunot, i'm a DK member, i've been offered a cell phone, but unsure if it's legit
the Chassis number is VF32XXXXXXXX - is it hot, answer now, bitch"
Either way go pester canker_clarkson, see what he says.
