ex5100-NO CHANNELS

Hi,

I received my Eurovox 5100 receiver,have installed the eurovox firmware from the site cablebox4 shared.com. I plugged it in and made sure all the wires were in the correct places. I initially ran a fast scan using the symbol rate 6875 because I use Chorus in Mullingar, Ireland. Now I did notice that the red bar at the bottom of the screen that said signal quality is 8% it dosen't flutate just says 8% all the time??? When I press information , it reads NO TRASPONDER TO SCAN.
I tried a power scan as well. When I switch on the box it says NO OR BAD SIGNAL

Any help will be appreciated

Are you Chorus cable or Chorus MMDS = aerial on roof?

If its Chorus mmds you will need a box with a Dvb-t tuner eg box-T or the eurovox TX.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANTENNA ON THE ROOF

That sounds like the software was not put on right..
try redoing it..and do not remove any thing untill it fully reboots...

Ta for replying. I took the box to a friend's house in Dublin and the box worked just fine so I suppose the software is OK.

Hie, I have chorus with an aeriel on the roof. Does this mean that Ihave to buy a new box altogether or is there software I can download to update or convert teh box to TX?

No unfortunately a Eurovox 5100 wont work with Chorus MMDs. You will have buy a box with a DVB-t tuner as said above.
