Vu+ Duo with Vix 2.4 (playing my own media from hdd)

Hi, I have installed a 1TB 2.5 drive and recording is working sweet, I enabled Samba and copied an avi file over but when I tried to play it the box locked up and needed a reboot, I notice the movies I record on the box save as .ts, is this the only file extension the box will play or is there a way to play my own content.

Never tried this myself but have been informed that the MKV format plays ok but anything else is a no go due to codec incompatibility.

Try via media player or dreambox explorer on the box
I play avi fine, didnt try mkv or others yet
There is a pluging for codec but i think its specific to m3u

      gstreamer-codec-1.0-r0-For-m3u-on-meidaplayer-all.ipk
